The Dubois County Republican Party extended gratitude to veterans and community members following Independence Day celebrations. Chairwoman Amy Kippenbrock said the group enjoyed a relaxed evening at the Dubois County Bombers game on July 4, where families gathered in the Upper Deck section at League Stadium.
The party announced several upcoming events, including its presence at the Dubois County 4-H Fair from July 14-19. Members and candidates will greet fairgoers at the GOP booth, offering freeze pops and conversation about local and national Republican initiatives. Potential future candidates were encouraged to use the fair as an opportunity to engage with the public ahead of the 2026 election season.
The annual Lincoln Day Dinner is set for September 8 at Venue 1408 in Huntingburg, featuring a special guest speaker. Invitations will be mailed in the coming weeks.
Additionally, gun raffle tickets are available for $20 each, providing three chances to win per ticket. Four prizes will be drawn during the Lincoln Day Dinner, including a Marlin 1894 Classic .44 mag and a Ruger 10/22 Trump Edition 22LR. Winners need not be present, but must meet all state and federal firearm ownership requirements.
The party also reminded members to renew their “R” license plates for 2025 and encouraged those interested in running for public office to reach out.
