Jasper Police Department School Resource Officer Jason Knies has earned a prestigious Master’s Accreditation from the Indiana School Resource Officer Association (INSROA).

The Master’s Accreditation is awarded to school resource officers who demonstrate exceptional professional skill, advanced training, and a strong commitment to their role in protecting students and staff. Officer Knies has completed extensive training in youth development, crisis intervention, and school safety strategies to achieve this level of recognition.

Knies has been with the Jasper Police Department for 19 years and has served as the School Resource Officer at Jasper High School for the past 11 years. Police Chief Chad Dick praised Knies as an invaluable asset to the department, the schools, and the community, adding that the accreditation reflects his hard work, professionalism, and dedication to student safety and well-being.

The Indiana School Resource Officer Association provides training and professional development for school resource officers across the state, aiming to promote safe learning environments and positive relationships between law enforcement and youth.
