Under sunny skies and with crowds lining the streets on Sunday August 3rd, the annual Jasper Strassenfest parade once again brought celebration and community pride to the forefront. Organizers have announced this year’s parade award winners, recognizing the creativity, enthusiasm, and spirit of the many participants who helped make the event a success.

The Strassenfest Award, given for the best reinforcement of the German theme, was awarded to the 2025 Miss Strassenfest and Junior Miss. Honorable mentions in this category included the Sister Cities of Jasper and Pfaffenweiler, Little Miss & Mr./German American Bank, and Schnitzelbank.

In the Most Entertaining category, Hodgini took top honors, with the Jasper High School Marching Wildcats, Sandi Bair Miniature Horses and Friends earning honorable mentions.

For Best Giveaways, Zax Creamery and Coffee earned the top spot, while several groups were recognized for their creativity, including Kimball International, St. Joseph’s Church, German American Bank, Boy Scout Troop 182, and Classic Custom Carts.

The Heartwarming Award was presented to Pediatric Therapy Specialties. Honorable mentions included Night to Shine, Dance Central, Sandi Bair Miniature Horses and Friends, and Protect Our Woods and Save.

The Community Award, recognizing entries with the most positive message about the community, went to Night to Shine. Honorable mentions included Locking Arms for Suicide Awareness, the Jasper Little League 2025 11U State Champions, Protect Our Woods and Save Hoosier National Forest!, and Red Hats & Purple Chaps.

Salience NeuroRehab took home the Chairman’s Award, presented to the top business float for excellence in design, construction, and creativity. Honorable mentions in this category were Home Depot and Jasper Motorsport.

The Parade Marshal’s Award, for non-business floats, was awarded to the Jasper Knights of Columbus Council 1584. Honorable mentions included the Mabuhay Filipino-American Association of Southern Indiana and the Riley Train.

Finally, the Best Shrine Unit went to the Hadi Shriners. La-Or-Ma Hiram’s Hotrods and La-Or-Ma Hoosier Hillbillies were recognized with honorable mentions.

Organizers extended their thanks to everyone who participated and attended, helping make the 2025 Strassenfest parade a memorable community tradition.

If you missed the 2025 Jasper Strassenfest Parade, 18 WJTS will air the event on Sunday, August 10 at 2PM and again Monday, August 11 at 8PM. The parade will also be uploaded to the 18 WJTS YouTube channel following the initial television airing.
