Actors Community Theatre in Jasper has announced its 2025-2026 performance season, with three productions planned at two venues. The upcoming season features a mix of suspense, comedy, and musical theatre, offering something for a wide range of audiences.

The season begins with Dracula: The Radio Play, adapted by Philip Grecian and based on the novel by Bram Stoker. Set in 1888, the story follows Jonathan Harker as he travels to Transylvania to assist Count Dracula with a real estate transaction. Upon discovering disturbing truths about the count, Harker escapes and returns to England, where a series of strange events unfold involving his fiancée Mina, her friend Lucy, and Dr. Jack Seward. Professor Van Helsing joins the effort to uncover the cause of Lucy’s mysterious illness, leading the group to confront an ancient evil. This production, styled after a classic radio drama with minimal set design, will take place October 9-11, 2025, at the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center’s Black Box Theatre.

The second production is This Murder Was Staged: Dinner Theatre Experience, written by Patrick Greene and Jason Pizzarello. The plot centers on the chaotic opening night of a new mystery play. When the body of the show’s director unexpectedly falls on stage, the theatre is turned into a crime scene, and the cast, crew, and audience members all become suspects. A detective must unravel the motives of a variety of eccentric characters in this comedic whodunit. The dinner theatre event will be held March 26-29, 2026, at the Jasper Arts Center.

The season concludes with Legally Blonde: The Musical, featuring music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin and a book by Heather Hach. Based on the novel and film of the same name, the musical follows Elle Woods, a fashion-forward UCLA sorority president who enrolls at Harvard Law School in an attempt to win back her ex-boyfriend. Along the way, she discovers her own strength while staying true to herself. Performances are scheduled for July 23-26, 2026, at the Jasper Arts Center.
