A West Baden Springs man has been arrested following a year-long investigation by the Indiana State Police.

Authorities say the investigation began in July 2024 after police received information that 47-year-old Michael S. Anderson had allegedly molested a child. Detective Tyler Matthew conducted the investigation and later submitted the findings to the Orange County Prosecutor’s Office.

Following a review, the prosecutor’s office filed multiple charges against Anderson, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On Friday, August 15, 2025, around 4 p.m., Anderson was taken into custody at his workplace without incident. He was transported to the Orange County Jail, where he remains held on bond.

Anderson faces five counts of Child Molesting – Forcible Rape, classified as Class A felonies. The case was investigated by the Indiana State Police with assistance from Trooper Steven Nolan and the Orleans Police Department.
