Deaconess Memorial Medical Center will host a Friday Community Health Screening on October 24 from 7 to 9 a.m. at the Memorial Southside Office, located at 1100 W. 12th Avenue in Jasper.

The screening is open to adults 18 and older and includes a cholesterol panel—measuring total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and triglycerides—along with a blood glucose check, all performed by finger stick. Participants must fast for 12 hours prior to the test, though water and prescribed medications may still be taken.

The cost is $30, payable at the time of the screening, and the process takes about 15 minutes. Pre-registration is required.

Those interested can register online by visiting www.deaconessmemorial.com, scrolling to the bottom of the page, and clicking on “Classes and Events.” Registration is also available by calling the Health and Wellness Department at 812-996-2399 or toll-free at 800-852-7279, ext. 2399.
