On October 1, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., 34-year-old Amanda N. Kegg was booked into the Gibson County Detention Center on an arrest warrant issued out of Superior Court for Conspiracy to Commit Murder, a Level 1 Felony.

Her arrest is connected to the ongoing investigation into the deaths of 51-year-old Malisa Kegg and 34-year-old Michael Kegg III, who were killed on December 31, 2024. The following day, 53-year-old Michael Kegg Jr. was arrested and charged with their murders.

Detectives Sgt. Roger Ballard and Jennifer Loesch of the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office located Amanda Kegg in Vincennes, Indiana, and took her into custody without incident with assistance from the Vincennes Police Department.

Authorities say her arrest marks another step in the continuing investigation to bring justice for the victims.

All criminal defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
