Late last week, the Orange County commissioners approved funding for a full vehicle wrap for the Paoli Police School Resource Officer vehicle, a project aimed at improving visibility and reinforcing school pride throughout the district.

The wrap will be added to the vehicle assigned to the Paoli schools School Resource Officer program. County officials described the effort as another step in strengthening the presence of the SRO on campus while supporting positive everyday interactions between students and law enforcement. They said the goal is to create a safer and more connected learning environment by making the officer easier to identify and by highlighting the partnership between the school and the Paoli Police Department.

Funding for the project comes from Orange Countys opioid settlement allocation. Those settlement dollars are being used to support local initiatives that promote prevention, youth safety and community engagement, and county leaders chose this project as one way to invest directly in students and school safety efforts.

Officials noted that the SRO program continues to focus on building trust with students and providing a steady supportive presence in the school community. The updated vehicle is expected to serve as both a safety tool and a visible reminder of that mission.
