Daviess Community Hospital (DCH) will host the Handmade with Heart Fundraiser on Friday, December 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the main hospital lobby, inviting the public to shop locally made goods while supporting the United Way of Daviess County.

The event will feature handcrafted gifts, décor, baked goods, and artisan items created by local makers, DCH team members, and community vendors. All proceeds from table fees will go directly to United Way of Daviess County to support its mission of addressing critical needs throughout the community.

Vendors may reserve a table for $50, with the full amount donated to United Way. Applications to participate as a vendor are due by Friday, November 28 at 3 p.m. Space is limited and tables will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Those interested in becoming a vendor may contact Heather Stone, DCH’s Human Resources Business Partner, at hstone@dchosp.org or (812) 254-2760 ext. 1133 for an application.

Stone, who also serves on the United Way of Daviess County Board of Directors, said hosting this event is especially meaningful to her.

“I have enjoyed hosting fundraising events for United Way through my workplace,” Stone said. “I love what United Way does for the community. I think it’s important that the community knows more about the United Way and just how essential and valuable they are to everyone.”

The Handmade with Heart Fundraiser is open to the public, and community members are encouraged to stop by, shop, and support both local artisans and United Way of Daviess County.

United Way plays a vital role in supporting programs that address education, financial stability, and health needs across Daviess County, making every purchase at the fundraiser an investment back into the community.
