Residents in the City of Jasper are being invited to help shape the community’s future by participating in an online discussion forum as part of the city’s long-range Comprehensive Plan update.
City officials say the online discussion boards are designed to gather ideas and feedback from residents as planners work to develop a roadmap for Jasper’s growth and development over the next decade. The forums allow participants to share their thoughts, respond to other community members, and weigh in on several key topics tied to the planning process.
Discussion areas include community growth, housing, connectivity, quality of life, and other priorities that have emerged as important issues during the plan’s development.
The Comprehensive Plan update is intended to create a shared vision for Jasper’s future and guide decisions related to land use, development, infrastructure, and community amenities in the years ahead. Feedback gathered through the online discussions will help city leaders and planning officials better understand residents’ perspectives and priorities.
According to the City of Jasper Community Development and Planning Department, the discussion boards provide another opportunity for residents to engage in the planning process in a convenient and accessible way.
