The Crawford County Sheriff’s Department has welcomed a new member to its reserve deputy program.

Katie Goldman was officially sworn in as a reserve deputy earlier this week by Judge Justin Mills.

Goldman brings prior law enforcement experience, having previously served as a reserve deputy town marshal with the Marengo Police Department.

In addition to her background in law enforcement, Goldman is also certified in the fire service and as a paramedic, bringing additional emergency response training to the department.

She is also a certified K-9 handler and will be working alongside her K-9 partner, Axel.

Department leaders say they look forward to Goldman’s contributions as she begins serving the citizens of Crawford County.
