John E. Mohr Jr., age 82, of Ferdinand, Indiana, passed away at 7:07 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at home surrounded by family.
John was born in Ferdinand, Indiana, on March 28, 1944, to John Sr. and Augusta (Oser) Mohr. He married Marjorie A. “Margie” Wehr on December 30, 1960, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana. She preceded him in death on May 18, 2021.
He retired from DMI, where he had worked for many years.
He enjoyed woodworking, quilting, and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are three children, Kevin Mohr, Ferdinand, IN, Karen Ward, Ferdinand, IN, Kris Mohr, Ferdinand, IN, two step grandchildren, Brittany and Lindsay Adams, two step great grandchildren, Ethan and Maverick, three sisters, Dolly Harris, Huntingburg, IN, Bootsie (Jerome) Brinkman, Ferdinand, IN, Vita (Kenny) Voegerl, Ferdinand, IN, three brothers, Richard (Elaine) Mohr, Mariah Hill, IN, Ron (Doris) Mohr, Ferdinand, IN, and Paul (Becky) Mohr, Ferdinand, IN, and two sisters-in-law, Barbara Mohr, Ferdinand, IN and Marty Oser, St. Meinrad, IN.
Preceding him in death besides his wife, are two sons-in-law, Larry Ward and Dennis Adams, and three brothers, Edwin Oser, and Bob and Bill Mohr.
There will be no services at this time.
