Norbert F. Nordhoff, 66, of Ferdinand, passed away, Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at IUPUI Hospital in Indianapolis. Norbert was born October 14, 1949 in Celestine to Frank and Philomena “Minnie” (Hasenour) Nordhoff. He married Patricia Demuth on August 10, 1968 in St. Ferdinand Church.

Norbert was a retired turkey farmer. He was a member of St. Ferdinand Parish and St. Meinrad Knights of Columbus #5599. Norbert enjoyed fishing, hunting, farming and gardening.

Norbert is survived by his wife, Patricia “Pat” Nordhoff; five sons, Kent Nordhoff, Kevin Nordhoff and wife Staci all of Ferdinand, Keith “BB” Nordhoff and wife Staci of Velpen, Kregg Nordhoff and wife Robyn of Kyana, Kurt Nordhoff and wife Jacqueline “Jacque” of Celestine; one daughter, Kelly Hauser and husband Brian of Schnellville; three brothers, Clarence Nordhoff and wife “Verena” of Celestine, Robert Nordhoff and wife Janice of Jasper, Jerome Nordhoff and wife Rita of Birdseye; three sisters, Doris Weyer and husband Tom, Vernita Klem and husband Alvin all of St. Anthony, Marilyn Fleck and husband Tom of Huntingburg; ten grandchildren also survive.

Norbert was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters in infancy.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2-8:00 PM and Monday from 7-9:30 AM at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand.

Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00 AM in St. Henry Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Ferdinand Church Cemetery.
