Kathleen Berg, 93, of Birdseye, passed away at 9:45 a.m., E.S.T., on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at The Waters of Huntingburg in Huntingburg, Indiana.

She was born May 18, 1922 in Perry County, Indiana to Charley and Amanda (Cox) Shafer. She married Allen “Dutch” Berg on August 9, 1941 in English. Kathleen sold Avon for over 20 years and also worked for the Southern Railway for a short time. She attended the Anderson Valley Christian Church and enjoyed spending time with her family, working in her garden, and going to auctions. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Allen, who passed away on May 24, 1995; three sisters, Hilda Eckert, Alice Gillaspie, Mildred Grant; and a brother, Harold Shafer.

Funeral services for Kathleen Berg will be held at 2:00 p.m., E.S.T., on Sunday, December 27,, 2015, at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Birdseye Cemetery in Birdseye, Indiana. Reverend Albert Madden will officiate the service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., on Saturday, December 26th. Memorial contributions may be made to the Birdseye Cemetery. Condolences may be shared online at: www.nassandson.com.
