18 WJTS Anchor Charlotte Olson to Compete for Scholarship and Miss Indiana

On Sunday, June 11th, 62 outstanding young women from all over Indiana will gather in Zionsville to begin competition for more than $40 thousand in scholarships and the titles of Miss Indiana and Miss Indiana’s Outstanding Teen 2017 and one of DC Broadcasting’s very own will be among them.

24-year old Charlotte Olson of Ireland and a member of our news team will participate in three nights of preliminary competition on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings culminating in the Miss Indiana Final Competition Saturday, June 17th starting at 6:00 pm.

By the end of the evening, both Miss Indiana and Miss Indiana’s Outstanding Teen 2017 will be crowned.

Charlotte holds the title of Miss Northwest Territory, a graduate of The University of Alabama and Vincennes University, she has degrees in dance performance, psychology and social work. Her personal platform is “Standing Tall. Standing Together: Eating Disorder Awareness” and her talent is vocal performance.

The final night of competition will also be broadcast live via webcast for those who can’t make it to Zionsville. Webcast details will be available soon on the Miss Indiana website and social media.

Only the Top 10 contestants in Miss and Teen, plus the People’s Choice winners will compete for the titles on Finals Night. Each vote costs a dollar.
