Alva Freadman Allen, age 93 of Jasper, Indiana passed away at 06:56 p.m. Monday, (November 9, 2015), in the Timbers of Jasper Health Care Center in Jasper.

Allen, AlvaHe was born on January 7, 1922 in Daviess County, Indiana to Dale and May (Raney) Allen. He married Elizabeth Hart on July 3, 1943 in Washington, Indiana.  She preceded him in death on September 9, 2008.

Alva Allen was a WWII Army Veteran.  He retired as a Public School Superintendent.

He was a member of The Indiana Association of Public School Superintendent’s – Phi Delta Kappa – Jasper Masonic Lodge # 743 and The First Presbyterian Church of Jasper.

Preceding Him in death besides his wife are six sisters and five brothers.

Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery of Reeve Townships, Daviess County Indiana at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, (November 21, 2015).

Memorial services for Alva Allen will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, (November 21, 2015) at the First Presbyterian Church in Jasper. The Rev. Jerry Straight will officiate. Also Line Masonic Line Lodge F&A.M. # 743 will hold their Memorial service.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Alzheimer’s Association or the Disabled American Veterans Association.
