A Jasper woman was placed under arrest Tuesday evening after her involvement in a domestic dispute.
The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department says 28-year old Desire DeOrto of Jasper was arrested after the sheriff’s department was contacted about a reported battery in the Bretzville area.
Deputies determined DeOrto and another woman argued before DeOrto struck the victim in the face.
DeOrto is facing a misdemeanor charge of battery and was lodged into the Dubois County Security Center.
