In a caucus held Wednesday Dubois County Republican Precinct Committeemen selected Jaclyn McPherron of Huntingburg to fill a vacancy on the Patoka Township Advisory Board.

Dubois County Republican Chairman Don Hayes who chaired the caucus says McPherron was chosen out of a group of three candidates seeking the office.

The vacancy was created when previous office holder Jeffrey Bounds, resigned after being named to the Huntingburg City Council.

Mrs. McPherron will take over the open spot immediately and will serve the remainder of the term which ends December 31, 2018.
