Ora Rae Mitchell, 78 of Eckerty passed away Saturday December 19th at Scenic Hills Care Center, Ferdinand. She was born February 21, 1937 in Eckerty to William “Bill” & Hattie M. (Cummings) Gaither. She married Kenneth “Amos” Mitchell on January 21, 1956 in English, Indiana. He preceded her in death on November 29, 2013.
Surviving are 1 sister, Susie Oser (Mike) of Huntingburg. Caregivers, Niece, Jessica Mohr (Adam) of Ferdinand, and a nephew, Eddie Lee Andry Jr. of Eckerty. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Marion Michael Gaither. Ora loved animals & children, and enjoyed being with family & friends.
Funeral services 12:00 Noon on Wednesday December 23, 2015 at Becher Funeral Home, Ferdinand. Albert Madden will officiate. Burial to follow in Eckerty Cemetery. Friends may call after 10:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.becherfuneralhome.com.
