Officials with the Town of Dale say water customers have been placed under a boil advisory until further notice.

Town officials are reporting that a main water line was ruptured by a utility company, sending pressure within the water lines to a level that could permit the introduction of untreated water into the water mains.

Customers are encouraged to boil all water that is being used in the preparation of food and for drinking.  They say water should be brought to a full boil for 5 minutes. Briskling stirring the boiled water will often help to improve the taste of the water.

Dale town officials say the boil advisory is effective until further notice.  However, they say the minimal time would be until Wednesday at 4 pm CST.
