Opening ceremonies for the 2016 Dubois County 4-H Fair took place today at the fairgrounds located along Hwy 162 near Bretzville.

Some events have already been taking place since last Friday along with the WBDC Country
Showdown house band HayWire who preformed on Saturday.

This evening will continue with carnival rides, livestock showmanship, the 4-H Talent show at 7pm, and

Dubois County 4-H Youth Development and Extension Educator, Jennifer Monarch, says that the
grand champions are planned to be introduced at the ceremony.

Also a ceremonial lighting of a torch is planned that will parallel with Indiana Bicentennial Celebrations.

This year’s theme ‘4-H Pass it On’, serves to promote the concept of passing on everything that 4-H activities has taught its participants.

Fairgoers can also visit our partner radio station at the WBDC Booth in the Commercial Building this week from Tuesday evening through Friday and test your knowledge of song lyrics for a chance to win Colts Tickets, Holiday World passes, or tickets to the Big O Music Fest!

The 2016 Dubois County 4-H Fair will continue this entire week up until Saturday, July 23rd.
