A Huntingburg man was placed into custody on a trio of charges after he and another person were involved in a physical altercation that took place in Huntingburg over the weekend.

Around 8:40 Saturday evening Huntingburg Police were called to a home loated along the 3000 block of North Anthony Court in Huntingburg where police say the incident took place.

Police say by the time they arrived the female victim Kelsie Kuntz and a man identified as 24-year old Cyril Darrel-Neal of Huntingburg had separated themselves from each other.

They say Kuntz was able to get away from Darrel-Neal and reach a neighbor’s home in order ot call 911.

Police say Darrel-Neal was still at the residence and made contact with him.

Police say both she and Darrel-Neal had been arguing and that he placed his hand over her mouth and nose to keep Kuntz from screaming.

They say Kuntz tried to call a friend to come get her but Darrel-Neal took her phone and broke it by throwing it to the ground.

Kuntz told police she tried to leave the residence but was thrown to the ground and dragged back into the residence. She was then able to get away and make it to the neighbor’s place and call 911.

Darrel-Neal was arrested and booked into the Dubois County Security Center on charges of Criminal Confinement, Domestic Battery and Disorderly Conduct.
