A Martin County woman who was also an employee of a north side Jasper nursing facility was placed under arrest
during the midnight hour Sunday morning on several charges involving narcotics after she was discovered sleeping inside
her vehicle outside the nursing center where she worked. Just before 12:30 am Sunday Jasper Police were called to the
parking lot of the Northwood Good Samaritan Center located along the 25-hundred block of Newton Street in Jasper after
they received a report of an employee asleep in her car for two hours.
Police say they made contact with the subject, 19-year Brittany Nichole Woody of Loogootee who police say admitted to
officers that there was methamphetamine in her vehicle and gave them consent to search. Police say a search allegedly
turned up methamphetamine, marijuana and paraphernalia inside the vehicle. After being medically cleared at Jasper's
Memorial Hospital, Woody was taken to the Dubois County Security Center where she was booked on a Level 6 felony
charge of possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
