Michael P. Brosmer, age 69, of Huntingburg, passed away at 9:50 a.m., on Saturday, September 17, 2016, at his home.

mike-brosmerHe was born February 17, 1947, in Belleville, Illinois to Gilbert and Sheila (Richardson) Brosmer. Mr. Brosmer was a carpenter; an auxiliary member of the V.F.W. Post #2366 and member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles; was an avid hunter and fisherman; and enjoyed tossing horseshoes and playing cards. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sheila Brosmer Fleck; his father, Gilbert Brosmer; and two brothers, Allan Brosmer and Larry Brosmer.

He is survived by:

Two daughters and one son-in-law,

Chris Brosmer of Huntingburg, Ind.,

Anita (Gerald) Brosmer-Begle of Ferdinand, Ind.;

One son,

Steven Brosmer of Bloomington, Ind.;

Two sisters and one brother-in-law,

Susan (Daniel) Kuper of Glendale, Arizona,

Sharon Brosmer of Slidell, Louisiana;

Two brothers and one sister-in-law,

Dennis Brosmer of Loogootee, Ind.,

David (Barbara) Brosmer of Evansville, Ind.;

and one granddaughter,

Keiara Begle at home in Ferdinand.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Michael P. Brosmer will be held at 6:00 p.m., E.D.T., on Thursday, September 22, 2016, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg.
