A Bloomfield School District teacher is facing a Level 5 felony charge of child solicitation and a misdemeanor charge of unlawful communication with a student.

Bloomfield police arrested Bloomfield High School Biology teacher 36-year-old Franklin Hall of Oaktown on Thursday night.

Hall is accused of having sexual encounters with a student and having inappropriate conversations via social media.

Jail records indicate Hall was held on $22,000 bond with 10 percent allowed, with the bond paid as of Friday morning.

As of Friday morning, the probable cause affidavit for this case had not yet been filed.
