HUNTINGBURG BATTRY ARREST

A Huntingburg man was placed under arrest on a charge of Domestic Battery after police responded to the report of a domestic incident Sunday afternoon. Huntingburg Police say at about a quarter till 4 yesterday afternoon they were called to a residence located along the 300 block of 1st Avenue for a domestic altercation.

Police say when they arrived, they made contact with the victim who told authorities that the suspect Sergio Quiroz had fled the scene. The victim told police that Quiroz had thrown her down to the ground and kicked her. They say the victim suffered minor abrasions and red marks from the altercation. A witness at the scene was able to provide police with a description of the vehicle Quiroz fled the scene in as well as a license plate number and direction of travel.

Huntingburg officers passed the information to the Jasper Police Department who were able to locate Quiroz and place him under arrest. Jasper Police took Quiroz to the Dubois County Security Center were he was booked and lodged.
