The 2016 November general election is just 4 days away and voters in Dubois County are reminded that they have more choices or options available if the wish to get their vote in early for next week’s election.

Satellite voting centers began opening up in areas around the county last Saturday.

In Jasper absentee voting began last weekend at the northside fire station located along the 100 block of 35th Street and will be open between 10 am and 6 pm this evening and tomorrow.

Satellite absentee voting sites have been open in various communities on select days this week. Satellite absentee voting will take place at the Dubois Library today from 10 am till 6 pm.

Early voting is open to registered voters, and they may go to any of the locations to vote no matter where they reside.

As was the case at all other satellite locations the Dubois Library will have two voting machines available.

Now voting will continue on the third floor of the Dubois County Courthouse through Monday, November 7th. Voting hours are from 8 am till 4 pm today.

Folks can also vote at the courthouse from 8 am till 3 pm tomorrow and from 8 am till noon Monday.

As of early Thursday morning, early voter turnout had passed the 21 percent mark.
