Officials with the city of Jasper say the boil order that was issued earlier this week for the area of 13th and Bartley Streets of Jasper has been lifted.

Late Monday afternoon, a water line at the intersection of 13th & Bartley Streets ruptured and due to the nature of this work the City of Jasper Gas & Water Department issued a neighborhood boil order for all area customers

Officials say samples of water from the Jasper Water Department neighborhood boil order have passed two consecutive lab tests conducted over the last 48 hours. Jasper Water Department residential and business customers in the affected area no longer required to boil their water for consumption.

Ireland still remains under a boil advisory that was issued earlier this week
