SWIRCA & More has received certification to be a VA provider for the Veteran-Directed Home and Community Based Services program.

This program gives Veterans of all ages who are at risk of nursing facility placement the opportunity to direct their own services. The program is designed to give the Veteran maximum choice and decision-making about who will help them and what goods and/or services will enhance their life, allowing the Veteran to maintain their independence at home for as long as possible.

SWIRCA & More has trained Care Coordinators who help the Veteran enroll in this new program, along with providing on-going support and assistance for the Veteran as they hire their own workers and direct their own care.

SWIRCA & More will facilitate this program for Veterans living in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, Perry, Gibson, and Spencer County. SWIRCA & More continues to uphold our mission of “Enhancing Opportunities for Independent Living.” For more information, contact Special Programs Coordinator Jillian Hall at 812-492-7441 or 1-800-253-2188.
