One person complained of pain after a two vehicle accident that took place at a north side Jasper intersection Wednesday afternoon.

Jasper Police say shortly after 2 p.m. yesterday a minivan driven by 42-year old Lattonya kinder of Jasper was southbound on Newton Street approaching the intersection of Northwood Ave. & 30th Street.

Police say in the meantime an SUV driven by 75-year old Donna Hall of Jasper was eastbound on Northwood Ave. and stopped at the intersection of newton Street. Police say hall had the red light and proceeded to make a right hand turn on red onto Newton Street in attempt to go south.

She told police she did not see Kinder’s van which had the green light and was headed southbound crossing the intersection and the two vehicles collided.

Police cited Hall for failure to yield the right of way. Kinder complained of neck pain but refused to be transported by Memorial Hospital EMS.
