Kenneth “Pete” Rudolph, age 100, of Ireland, Indiana, passed away at 8:30 p.m. on Monday (January 2, 2017) at Brookside Village in Jasper.

Pete was born in Ireland, Indiana, on September 17, 1916 at the Rudolph Farm home place, where he farmed and resided the last 100 years. He was born to William F. and Matilda (Himsel) Rudolph.

Pete was the last surviving member of the Ireland High School class of 1934. He enjoyed telling stories of his school days and the early basketball games at Ireland High School.

Pete was a lifetime farmer.

He was member of the Farm Bureau Association and the Ireland Historical Society.

He was an avid reader of three newspapers, loved informational magazines and receiving first class mail. He always documented the received date on all mail before he opened it.

His hobby was collecting pencils, pens, and paper to have ready for recording information.

Preceding him in death are one sister, Mildred May Rudolph, two brothers, Lenas E. and William Rudolph Jr., and one nephew, John K. Rudolph.

Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday (January 7, 2016) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, with burial to follow in Shiloh Cemetery in Jasper.
