Chad A. Knies, age 17 of Celestine, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, February 19th, 2017 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Chad was born in Jasper, Indiana on April 14, 1999 to Kent and Brenda (Buechler) Knies.
Chad was a Senior at Northeast Dubois High School in Dubois, IN.
He was a member of St. Isidore Parish – St. Celestine Catholic Church, Celestine, IN.
He had a passion for farming, and enjoyed tractor pulls, deer hunting, and spending time with his friends.
Surviving include his parents; Kent and Brenda Knies, Celestine, IN, one brother; Blake Knies, his maternal grandparents; Jim and Janet Buechler, Celestine, IN, and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents; Elmer and Imogene Knies.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Chad A. Knies will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at St. Celestine Catholic Church in Celestine, IN, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel Home in Jasper, IN.
