John Tuinier III, 91 of Santa Claus died peacefully in the Lord Sunday March 25, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville.

He was born June 20, 1925 in the Netherlands to John & Martha (Jonkman) Tuinier. He came to the United States at the age of 22.

He married Wilma Jean (VanDyke) Tuinier who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, John Joel Tuinier and Jack Herbert Tuinier. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Tina W. VanderBerg.

John loved to play chess, had an interest in National politics, enjoyed reading and studying the Bible.

A private graveside service will be held Tuesday March 28th in St. Nicholas Church Cemetery, Santa Claus.

Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand is entrusted with the arrangements.
