On the night of March 3rd, 2017, at approximately 10:52 PM, The Jasper Police Department responded to a report of a possible intoxicated driver south bound Newton Street from 17th Street. The Jasper Police Department located the vehicle south bound Newton and conducted a traffic stop at Fourth Street and Newton Street.

After investigation, it was determined that the driver, Hazel O’Neal, had been drinking. O’Neal Tested .11% BAC and was then lodged into the Dubois County  Security Center. O’Neal was charged with OWI and OWI with a passenger under the age of 16.
