A Huntingburg man was arrested late last night after threatening to blow up the county courthouse earlier in the day.

Just before 11 last night the Jasper Police Department received a report that earlier in the day a man, later identified as 38 year old Keith Markle Jr., was observed on the front lawn of the Dubois County Court house acting aggressively. It was reported that Markle also threatened to blow up the courthouse.

After an investigation that led police to identify Markle it was also reported that he was observed driving a vehicle while suspended with a prior.

Markle was taken into custody and lodged in the Dubois County Security Center where he is being held and charged on a Level 6 Felony count of Intimidation and a Class A Misdemeanor charge of Driving While Suspended Prior.

The Jasper Police Department was assisted by the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
