Paul E. “Wid” Luker, 85, of Velpen, passed away at 9:45 p.m., Friday, April 28, 2017, at The Waters of Huntingburg.

He was born February 5, 1932, in Stendal, Indiana to Elmer and Ida (Hagemeyer) Luker; and was united in marriage to Berniece Stilwell on June 24, 2000, in Stendal.  Paul retired from Holland Dairy where he worked for 44 ½ years.  He was a graduate of Stendal High School and member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Stendal.  He was preceded in death by three brothers, Austin, Robert “Bob” and Kern Luker; and two stepchildren, Rita Carr and Anthony Hardin.

Paul is survived by his wife, Berniece (Hardin) Luker of Velpen; brother, Donald Luker of Stendal; sister, Karen Jones of Stendal; and two stepchildren, Tim Hardin of Velpen and Melissa Hardin of Otwell.

Funeral services for Paul “Wid” Luker will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.D.T., on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with Ray Stilwell officiating.  Burial will follow at Stilwell Cemetery in Pikeville.
