Stephen Travis Smith, age 37, of Huntingburg, passed away at 11:04 p.m., Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville due to complications from an extended illness.

He was born July 6, 1979 in Lafayette, Indiana to Stephen and Donna (Albertson) Smith; and was married to Crystal Schwartz on October 8, 2016. Travis worked as a millwright for the Millwrights’ Local Union #1076. He was a Purdue and Cubs sports fan, enjoyed music, and loved spending time with his children.

Travis is survived by his wife, Crystal Smith of Huntingburg; two daughters, Olivia and Alexis Smith; one stepdaughter, Adalynn Schwartz; his mother, Donna Smith-Parks of Huntingburg; his father and stepmother, Stephen (Laura) Smith of Wingate; his brother and sister-in-law, Dustin (Carrie) Smith of Waynetown; his grandmother, Louise Albertson of Huntingburg; and by nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.D.T., on Monday, April 24, 2017, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with Deacon Jim Webb officiating. Burial will take place the following day; graveside committal services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Boswell Cemetery in Boswell, Indiana.
