Virginia “Jeanie” Schroeder, age 88 of Jasper, IN, passed away at 3:34 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at home.

Jeanie was born in Perry County, Indiana on October 25, 1928 to Edwin and Viola (Wilmes) Bartley. She married Clarence Schroeder on October 19, 1948 in St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She was a homemaker and a charter member of Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper.

She enjoyed cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

Surviving are her husband, Clarence Schroeder of Jasper, three daughters, Karen Weyer and husband Rich, Brenda Scraper and husband Larry, and Ann Schneider and husband Bob all of Jasper, one son, Mark Schroeder and wife Marlene of Jasper, ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one sister, Doris Schmitt of Jasper, and her caregiver, Dorothy Hunt.

Preceding her in death was one sister, Valada Klem and one brother Larry Bartley.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Virginia “Jeanie” Schroeder will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper, IN, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper.
