Jeffrey Donald Opel, age 60, of Huntingburg, passed away at 9:15 a.m., on Monday, June 26, 2017, at The Waters of Huntingburg.
He was born November 27, 1956, in Jasper, Indiana to Virgil E. and Margaret A. (Stratman) Opel. Jeffrey worked at the Jasper Desk Company. He was united in marriage to Joan J. Hubster on August 19, 1989, at Land-O-Lakes, Florida; and she preceded him in death on December 25, 2015.
Mr. Opel is survived by one son, Daniel Lee Doty of Jasper. His siblings include John Opel, Joe Opel, Steve Opel, Mary Furis, Connie Opel, Ronald Opel and Thomas Opel.
Graveside committal services for Jeffrey Opel will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.D.T., on Saturday, July 1, 2017, at Mayo Cemetery near Duff. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. Condolences may be shared with the family online at: www.nassandson.com
