After conducting a traffic stop early this morning for a headlight violation, Jasper Police discover drugs, paraphernalia and a passenger wanted on two felony warrants.

Just after 12 am this morning the Jasper Police conducted a traffic stop on a White Chrysler Concorde after observing it had a right headlight out.

The stop was initiated at the 1400 block of Newton Street with the JPD calling in a K-9 unit to assist. The K-9 officer indicated the presence of narcotics in the vehicle, as the officers searched the Chrysler they located a glass pipe, used to smoke meth, a small container with meth inside and pills.

Upon identifying the driver as 42-year old James Myers of Princeton, police then tried to identify the passenger in Myers vehicle. The female passenger gave a false name and date of birth leading officers to investigate the situation eventually identifying her as 42-year old Lisa Martin of Greenwood Indiana wanted on two felony warrants out of Daviess County.

Jasper Police took, both Myers and Martin into custody and transported them to the Dubois County Security Center.

The driver, 42-year old Myers is facing charges of possession of paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance while his passenger 42 year old Martin is being charged with possession of meth and paraphernalia and false identification.
