Dan Wortham, 39, of Huntingburg, Indiana, died on Wednesday morning, August 16, 2017, at his home after a long illness.

He was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on September 2, 1977, to Robert and Mary (O’Brien) Wortham.

Dan was a member of the Jasper High School class of 1996 where he played football, made many friends, and became a reading enthusiast. He was a proud father, avid fisherman, lover of music, outdoorsman, and long-time B.A.S.S. member.

He is survived by the highlight of his life, his daughter, Jillian Paige Wortham; his parents, Robert Wortham of Louisville and Mary Wortham of Huntingburg; a sister, Lyn Blessinger and husband Chad of Jasper; a niece, Leanne Lee and husband Shawn of Jasper; a nephew, Dylan Blessinger of Jasper; a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A private family ceremony will be held at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg.
