National Office Furniture, a unit of Jasper based Kimball International, recently received recertification of the ISO 14001 standards.
National’s Environmental Management System has been certified to ISO since 2008 and recently received the upgraded certification to ISO 2015.

The internationally acknowledged Environmental Management System certification recognizes companies that have adopted environmentally responsible practices in their business processes.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) created ISO 14001 as an internationally agreed upon standard that sets out the requirements for an environmental management system.

The certification helps organizations improve their environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and reduction of waste, thus gaining a competitive advantage and the trust of stakeholders.

Certified entities must demonstrate continuous improvement in their systems and their approach to environmental impacts to maintain their certification.

National’s Vice President of Global Operations Greg Meunier says the recertification really echoes their dedication to Vision and Guiding Principles.

He says they are committed to helping communities be great places to live and this recognition acknowledges their continued efforts to comply to the highest standards of quality and environmental responsibility.

Meunier says through their materials, products, processes, services, and most importantly, their people, they have sustained and advanced their ISO certification.
