Jasper police made an arrest on Tuesday morning after reports of damage done to a women’s restroom at the Dave Buehler Plaza. Just before 8 am on Tuesday morning Jasper Police officers were dispatched to the Dave Buehler Plaza in reference to damage done to the women’s restroom. When officer arrived they spoke with Jasper Parks department employees who told police that they had discovered the damage when they went to go clean the restroom. They also told police that when they arrived that morning a female subject had fled the area.

21-year old Chelsea Pate of Jasper

During the officers investigation into the damage which consisted of damage to a soap dispenser and vandalism to the walls, they located court papers belonging to 21-year old Chelsea Pate of Jasper. According to police they had dealt with Pate twice before, at that same location, on Monday night.

21-year old Pate was located a short time later and admitted to causing the damage. While officers were speaking with Pate she was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and added that she had been drinking a lot and couldn’t remember too much of what had happened.  She was arrested and lodged in the Dubois County Security Center on Charges of Criminal Mischief and Possession of Paraphernalia.
