A Huntingburg man was placed under arrest yesterday afternoon after a report of an internal theft that had occurred at a local pizza eatery. On Thursday Jasper Police were contacted by the owner of Little Caesars in reference to an internal theft by an employee. Police made contact with the person in question identified as 30 year old Braxton J. Cannon of Huntingburg and upon further investigation Cannon admitted to taking money on several occasions during his employment with the thefts occurring over a one month period and having a combined total of $7,184.15.

Cannon was detained yesterday shortly after 1 pm in-front of Smoker Friendly on Newton St. During his arrest police found that Cannon was in possession of paraphernalia, methamphetamine and multiple controlled substances. Cannon resisted law enforcement officers but was eventually detained and lodged into the Dubois County Security Center. He is being charged with 9 counts of a Level 6 Felony of Theft along with other multiple charges which include: Possession of Paraphernalia- Class A Misdemeanor, Possession of Methamphetamine-Level 6 Felony, Possession of a schedule II Controlled Substance- Class A Misdemeanor and Resisting Law Enforcement-Class A Misdemeanor.
