A Jasper man was arrested in the early morning hours of today on battery charges
The Jasper Police Department responded to 1611 E Third Ave in Jasper at approximately 1:23 am in reference of a female victim claiming she was injured in a physical altercation.
After investigation, it was discovered that the subject, Matthew Hackmann of Jasper, was at the residence earlier and had then returned to the Dubois County Community Corrections Facility to work release.
EMS was declined on scene by the female victim. Hackmann was lodged int he Dubois County Security Center on Charges of Domestic Battery and Interference of the Reporting of a Crime.
