In the early morning hours of Thanksgiving just after 2 AM, Jasper Police responded to the call of an intoxicated male outside of Headquarters that was sleeping in a vehicle that was not his own.

When police arrived they found 23-year-old Paul Varner of Jasper asleep in a vehicle that was indeed not his.

It was reported that the owner of the vehicle asked Varner to exit the car to which Varner became belligerent and attempted to start an altercation with the owner.

Upon police arriving, Varner continued to be aggressive in the situation. Police arrested Varner and lodged him into the Dubois county security center on a Class A Misdemeanor of unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle along with two Class B misdemeanors of resisting law enforcement and public intoxication.
