Two Washington women were killed in an accident Monday night that involved a semi truck on Washington’s south side.

Reports say the accident occurred at the busy intersection of State Roads 50 and 57 just after 9:30 last night.

Officials from the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office say a semi driven by Brett Ramsey of Wheatland T-boned a passenger car occupied by Marilyn and Kaitlyn Mattes of Washington who authorities say died from their injuries.

Ramsey was taken to Daviess Community Hospital for treatment.
