Jasper Engine’s endowment group, Jasper Endows Today & Tomorrow recently awarded more than $28,000 going to eight different nonprofits.

Jasper Endows Today & Tomorrow is a giving circle for Jasper Engines & Transmission Associates and their families that focuses on pooling resources to have a greater combined impact on our communities.

Their goal is to learn more about philanthropic opportunities and support those organizations that promote smart giving. Over 500 volunteer hours were also donated by group members this year.

Each year a portion of member donations goes to building the Jasper Endows Today & Tomorrow endowment, which currently totals over $160,000.

The group hosted a Will Read & Sing for Food event December 2nd at the company’s Power Drive facility in Jasper. During the show, they took the opportunity to present eight 2017 grants totaling $28,830.00 to local and national non-profit organizations.

These organizations included:

Boys & Girls Club of Crawford/Harrison counties,

Survivors of Suicide,

Anderson Woods,

Mentors for Youth,

South Baltimore Learning Center,

Metal Mission,

CASA,

and Freedom Reigns.

As a bonus to entertainment provided that evening, Jasper Endows Today & Tomorrow raised another $18,000 during 2017 to go towards the organization’s 2018 grants.
