A case that began just before Christmas led to an Odon man being arrested Thursday. On December 22, 2017, Indiana State Police Senior Trooper Detective Brock Werne launched an investigation after being contacted by the Department of Child Services (DCS).
DCS had received a complaint that Ricky L Riggins, 38, Odon had shown a 9 year old child, adult pornography.
Through the investigation Detective Werne was able to determine that Riggins allegedly had shown both pictures and video of adult pornography to the 9 year old child.
Werne developed enough probable cause for an arrest warrant for Dissemination of Matter Harmful to Minors, a Level 5 Felony, to be granted by the Martin County Circuit Court.
Thursday armed with an arrest warrant troopers from the Jasper Post went on a search to find Riggins.
After several hours of searching they located him at a gym in Washington. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Martin County Jail.
