A construction crew worker who was life-flighted after suffering injuries in a construction accident in Shoals on Monday, died,Tuesday, from injuries.

Monday morning Martin County deputies responded to a call at the Bailey Brothers building located at 526 2nd St. in Shoals to multiple injuries after a truss collapsed, injuring crew workers.

Three construction crew workers were injured in the accident with one of them being life-flighted from the scene, another was transported to a local hospital where they were then life-flighted as well and a third was taken to the hospital by private vehicle.

Officials with the Martin County Sheriffs Department confirmed that one of the crew workers died from his injuries Tuesday. No word on the condition of the other two crew memebers.

The construction crew was working to repair damage to the Bailey Brothers Building after a fire there in January.
